Our Pastor
Assistant Overseer Edmund Singleton II was born to Mr. Edmund and Mrs. Sammie Singleton in Oakland, CA.
He attended the Oakland school district, until his parents relocated to Richmond, CA, where he completed his high school years, graduating from Kennedy High School. He pursued his higher education at the Contra Costa College.
Assistant Overseer Singleton has worked in the construction industry for over 30 years and am currently employed at the Pacific Gas & Electric Co.
In 1993, Brother Edmund Singleton, II joined the Faith Tabernacle A.O.H. Church in Richmond, CA under the leadership of Bishop George and Elder Verley Ayers. He received the Holy Ghost and immediately began working on various ministries, including the Youth Ministry (President), Deacon’s ministry, Ushers ministry and Choir ministry. He now serves on the Preachers and Teachers, Witnessing Team, and Brotherhood ministries. As well the Trustee Board.
In 2001, the Lord called him to Preach the Gospel and in 2003 he received his Reverend licenses. Advised by his then current leader, Bishop Ayers, he prepared and passed the Elder’s curriculum and was ordained an Elder at the 2006 A.O.H. National Pentecostal Meeting.
In 2020, Elder Singleton founded the Jehu Unchained Podcast, a Christian show to help individuals discover who God is and the benefits of being a born-again believer. His listenership continues to grow and has spread worldwide. In 2021, he launched the Jehu Unchained non-profit organization, geared to encouraging and supporting the youth in our community.
In 2021, his current Pastor, Bishop Lawrence Williams, National Presider, elevated him to Assistant Overseer of the Western Regional Diocese. And in 2023, he was appointed Pastor-Elect of the Faith Tabernacle A.O.H. Church of God. He humility and obediently serves as the interim pastor for one year, and at the 108th National AOH Pentecostal meeting, Bishop Williams officially appointed him as the new pastor of Faith Tabernacle A.O.H. Church of God. What a blessing and a privilege to be able to serve the very congregation where he met His Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
Assistant Overseer Singleton is blessed to be married to his wife of 27 years, Sister Kristie (Palmer). They are the proud parents of two children, Edmund, III and Kayla.
Assistant Overseer Singleton loves to hear a great Word of God from fellow ministers. He has a passion for youth and witnessing the transformation of souls being committed and set free by the power of the Holy Ghost!
